Please remember to bring a helmet, as it is required for all participants. We’re also thrilled to announce that SpinNations will soon offer a full-time competition speed skating team! Once you complete the Learn to Skate classes, you'll have the opportunity to join this competitive team and take your skills to the next level.

The "Learn to Speed Skate Class" at SpinNations is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the exciting world of speed skating.

•  Duration: Each class lasts for one hour, from 6-7 PM every Friday.

• Skill Levels:  The class caters to all skill levels, whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your racing techniques.

• Instruction: Led by Jennifer K., a certified USARS coach, you'll receive expert guidance tailored to your individual needs and goals.

 

What You'll Learn:

• Basic Techniques: Focus on the foundational skills of speed skating, including proper stance, balance, and stride.

• Speed Development: Learn strategies to increase your speed and efficiency on the rink.

• Safety Practices: Emphasis on safety, including the importance of wearing a helmet and other protective gear.

 

Future Opportunities:

• Competition Team: After completing the Learn to Skate classes, participants will have the exciting opportunity to join SpinNations' new full-time competition speed skating team! This team will provide a chance to train rigorously, compete in events, and develop advanced skills with fellow passionate skaters.
